In Loving Memory of Dr. Meyer Rassin
1909 - 1989
The Foundation was created in 1999 in honor of the late Dr. Meyer Rassin who serviced the healthcare needs of our community since 1942.He believed in and exemplified the importance that patients have the right to the very best care possible without financial constraints. Dr. Meyer Rassin, Orthopedic Surgeon, and his wife Rosetta, a Registered Nurse, founded private healthcare in the Bahamas and dedicated their lives to the field of medicine.

The purpose of the Dr. Meyer Rassin Foundation is to positively affect our community. Contributions to The Foundation will help make available the very best in healthcare for you, your family, friends, and neighbors. The Foundation was created as a philanthropic mechanism through which individuals, trusts, foundations, estates, businesses and other organizations may invest in quality healthcare in The Bahamas.

Formerly The Rassin Hospital, named after its founder Dr. Meyer Rassin, Doctors Hospital has been a good neighbor to the Bahamian community for almost 50 years. You may specify the use of your donation and obtain agreement for a specific purpose consistent with the objectives of The Foundation.In order to build the endowment, 10% of the donation will stay in the Foundation to build a fund wherein the interest would be used to meet the objectives.There will be no administrative cost to operate The Foundation.
We will continue to recognize and express gratitude for the charitable gifts given to the foundation. Major gifts will be recognized on The Foundation donor wall in Doctors Hospital, Shirley Street main lobby.
