THIRD BUNDLE OF JOY, FIRST NEW YEAR BABY!!!
Doctors Hospital Welcomes First Baby of the Year

Ahhhh….the first day of the year, long anticipated yet quickly gone. With resolutions made, some already broken….it is now business as usual, but not exactly, for one lucky family welcoming their third baby and third son born at Doctors Hospital. What makes this baby more special than the others?....Master Trace Russell was the first baby of the year 2010 born at the private hospital, on New Years Day to Dr. Milena and William Russell.
Weighing 8lbs 13ozs and 51.5cm in length his mother says so far he has been getting far more sleep than her. Both mother and baby are doing well. Although expected on January 4th, the due date given by physician, Dr. Anthony Carey, Trace had his own plans - he couldn’t wait to meet his mom, dad and two older brothers; so much so that he made his appearance just a little early. So early in fact that he did not give Dr. Carey enough time to make it to Doctors Hospital for the delivery, instead the honor had to be done by ‘more than capable’ midwives, Nurse Carol Bethel and Nurse Gayle Duncombe, as Trace quickly prepared to make his grand entrance.
To welcome this beautiful bundle of joy, Doctors Hospital presented to mom, dad and baby a beautiful arrangement of flowers, a gift basket filled with goodies to take wonderful care of this bouncing baby boy, gift certificates commemorating Trace’s birth and a gift certificate for ten (10) cases of newborn diapers generously donated by Bahamas Wholesale Agencies.
Featuring the most advanced equipment to ensure the safety of the mother and baby, Doctors Hospital has fetal monitors, a resuscitaire, automatic blood pressure recorders and intravenous infusion pumps, full-size isolettes (baby warmers) and a portable unit for transferring babies to the special care unit if needed. With over fifty years experience in the delivery of maternal and child healthcare, the hospital is committed to create an experience that is safe, private, and comfortable. The unit provides the latest in family-centered pre and post-natal care. Each delivery suite is private, spaciously designed with television, air condition, and attractive comfortable furnishings for relaxation and enjoyment. Individual patient care is provided by a qualified, experienced midwife.
Parents agree that Doctors Hospital offers excellent care in a warm compassionate environment.
