DOCTORS HOSPITAL MAKES DONATION TOWARD NEW BUILDING
Diabetic Association Makes Plans for New Building
Corporate partner, Doctors Hospital has had a long relationship with the Bahamas Diabetic Association. Sharing the same goal, which is to assist diabetics in the Bahamas with diagnosing, educating, treating and managing their disease, the Hospital recently made a donation to the Association to help to bring to reality the dream of their own building. The new building will serve as a permanent place for meetings and convalescence for Family Island Diabetics so that they have a place of refuge when they have to travel to Nassau. Their vision is to have a place where diabetics can receive further education and assistance to help control their Diabetes, thus preventing many of the devastating complications associated with diabetes.
"We take great pride in being a leader in healthcare services in the Bahamas, and we know of the challenges of Diabetics and those that the Diabetic Association faces each day. We believe our investment in this crucial project will help to deliver care to even more new families throughout New Providence and the Family Islands" stated Michele Rassin, Vice President of Operations, Doctors Hospital.
