DONATIONS FROM DOCTORS HOSPITAL NURSES
HELP TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

__________________________________________________________________

Recently, several Nursing leaders from Doctors Hospital spent time with the residents of The Good Samaritan Senior Citizens Home and presented non-perishable food items collected from staff at Doctors Hospital as part of Nurses Month celebrations.

In making the presentation to the Home, Dorcena Nixon, Vice President of Patient Care explained that Doctors Hospital is committed to assisting in any way it can in community endeavors, and to help to make a positive difference in people’s lives.  The Nurses at Doctors Hospital have done food drives in the past during Nurses Month and this is the second time that The Good Samaritan Home has been a recipient.

The president of Good Samaritan Home, Rev. Kendal Capron expressed great appreciation to God and to Doctors Hospital for the very timely donation, noting that since Thanksgiving last year, the Home which currently houses eighteen people, had not received donations of food.  He continues to encourage visitations to the elderly and donations that could benefit them in any way.
